Turok, Dinosaur Hunter
Turok is a mighty dinosaur hunter. He's got some pretty good guns.
Note: Thanks to IGN64 for the images. I couldn't put them all on this page, so I put links to them so you could see the pictures without having to download a huge page.
Abilities:
Accuracy Bonuses: Another FPS guy skill. Higher aim rates.
Challenge: Turok Rage Wars: Challenge your poor enemy to a Turok: Rage Wars match.
Replenish x2: This is a typical FPS guy skill: replenish your weapons at a quicker rate.
Equipment:
Alien Weapon: A low-key weapon relying on cells. Use it when you want to conserve ammo (Turok 1 weapon). Pictures
Assault Rifle: Typical machinegun with two modes of fire, the secondary doing more damage. Pictures
Auto Shotgun: A cool weapon, especially with exploding shells equipped. Since exploding shells do take longer to Replenish, be careful about using them.
Boomerang: The Turok 3 competition to the Razor Wind. It has a lock on it, but it can only attack one enemy, while a well-placed Razor Wind could hack through many. Pictures
Cerebral Bore: Potentially the meanest weapon Turok has. It locks onto the enemy's head and launches a drill that drills into the cerebrum (hence the name Cerebral Bore), then explodes. Pictures
Charge Darts: Cool, cool weapon. Fire darts full of electricity at enemies.
Chest Burster: You can blast a small needle shot or implant an alien embryo in your poor enemy.
Chronosceptor: A weapon that fires powerful blue explosions and is capable of overriding invulnerabilities and defenses.
Emaciator: Turn your enemies into an empty sack of skin with no blood or anything. Pictures
Firestorm Cannon: A really cool minigun. It fires less often but shoots bigger, more powerful rounds than the Minigun. Use them both. Pictures
Flamethrower: A pretty cool flamethrower from Turok 2. Pictures
Flares: DO NOT confuse this with the Flare Gun. These just light up stuff.
Flare Gun: Fires bursts of green light that sticks and does radiation damage, or more powerful purple light. Cool. Pictures
Freeze Gun: Freezes enemies. Two FB uses: freeze someone so you can slam them hard (especially with a fire spell), or hit a fiery creature or something weak to ice with the freeze gun. Pictures
Fusion Cannon: Fires a shot of fusion energy that blows up with a huge radius.
Grenade Launcher: It fires grenades. Gee. It's primary fire has them timed, it's secondary fire explodes on contact. Pictures
Inflator: The competition to Duke's Expander. Have fun with it. Pictures
Iron Claw: These mean things from Turok: Rage Wars are meanass traps. They're big bear traps. Pictures
Mag 60: The one from Turok 2 sucked, but since Turok is from all three games, the one in Turok 3 is much better, thus we use it. It lets you fire three bullets in a burst, but it also lets you go to a centered sniping position. Very cool. Pictures
Minigun: A plain old minigun with a kickass rate of fire. Pictures
Napalm Gel: Fires packets that can be detonated. Pictures
Nuke: Causes a bigass explosion that has the effects of the Particle Accelerator.
Particle Accelerator: A weird gun that, at max, freezes and blows up enemies.
P.F.M. Layer: Plants fragmentation mines.
Plasma Rifle: A mix of Turok 2's and Turok 3's. It has a sniper mode and fires powerful plasma shots.
Power Zones: Offers cool abilities, like invisibility,
Razor Wind: A cool cutting disc. It can be a little difficult to use, so at close range, the Warhammer is significantly better.
Scorpion: The one from Turok 2 locks on and fires, the one from Turok 3 just fires rockets. Pictures
Shotgun: Has a big wallop. Nice gun. Pictures
Shredder: Fires a beam of light that will bounce and slice enemies. Uses shotgun shells for ammo.
Sunfire Pod: Sunfire Pods contain sunlight. Kill Blind Ones, bats, vampires, werewolves, etc.
Tek Bow: Fire regular arrows and Tek Arrows with a little scope. Pretty cool. Pictures
Torpedo Sled: A sled that you ride and fire torpedoes off of.
Tranquilizer Rifle: While the original intention of the Tranquilizer Rifle in Turok 2 was to use a sleepy monster as a weight, the FB purpose usually is far more sinister: shoot your enemies to render them helpless, then assault them.
Turret: A cool sentry turret. Does more damage with it's regular shots than Mariner's, but it doesn't have an explosive weapon. Pictures
Warhammer: A hammer. Does OK damage, better than the knife at least. Pictures
Additional Equipment:
Find these somewhere in the Lost Land. These are weapons people have made for Turok on the World-of-Nintendo: Fun Stuff! site (http://www.world-of-nintendo.com/fun/create a_weapon/create_a_weapon.html), with underlines after all of the create's and a's.
Acid Thrower: A simple weapon: it just throws acid.
Atom Ball: Throws a super-deadly ball, while being small, annihilates the part it touches. Not too cheap and pretty cool.
Automatic Knife Launcher: Pretty cool. Lets you launch knives at high speeds. Furthermore, the knives can be picked up again. In FB, the knives do get dinged up and damaged, but they still are more ammo-efficient than some other weapons.
Barb Trap Layer: It fires some traps that looks like P.F.M.s, except they float and fire barbs at the poor enemies. Like Quake's Nail Grenade.
Betrayer: Yipes, this is a disgusting weapon. It fires four blades that sever off a guy's arm, then it forces the severed hand to strangle the former owner while a tail made from the blades stabs the guy in a gut. The guy who made this is pretty gorily creative.
Destroyer: Difficult to get, but it blows apart enemies like mush.
Earwig: A rod that shatters the enemy's nervous system, causing stunning and pain. Better if you're fighting with someone else on your team.
Electronet: Fires a web of electricity. Pretty cool.
Firedart Gun: The Firedart Gun fires a fiery dart that burns people from the inside. One of the low-key weapons people make (i.e. not the Super Annihilator Death Ray Shield).
Injector: Fires poisonous needles.
Hiroshima Cannon: Fires nuclear projectiles for distances up to a mile. Very nice, but be careful: nukes are a double edged sword.
Hyper Blaster: Starts out as a machinegun, but can be filled up with many different kinds of energy bullets. Another creative and not so cheap weapon.
Razor Wire: Fires bigass razor wires to impale enemies and stick them to walls. Extremely mean, but has a very, very slow rate of fire.
Soul Remover: The Soul Remover has the skin of the Sunfire Pod, but it creates a hand and takes the enemy's soul. Yikes. For the sake of balance, there is a saving throw involved.
Ultimate Weapons:
All of these are somewhere in the Lost Land. Just go around and find them.
Cerebral Death: Fires powerful Cerebral Bores and could fire 3 at one time.
Nuclear Firestorm Cannon: Just fires really big Firestorm cannon shots.
Limit Breaks:
L1:
Double Shot: Pretty lame. It just fires double what can be fired in one turn and doesn't take any ammo.
ULB:
Lost Hunter: Turok appears in the modern day, he holds up a ball of light and teleports to the Lost Land. His weapons are in a cave. He busts through, physically mauling all of his enemies (his enemies are the targets of the ULB). He gets his weapons and then rains fire down on the poor enemies.
Reviews:
Thanks to his variety of weapons, I like him. Bust out the Cerebral Bore, Razor Wire, Hiroshima Cannon, Nuke, Fusion Cannon... it's all good. -Fred
