Heatsink Blaster Upgrade

This upgrade upgrades existing weapons that generate heat. Pretty much all ranged weapons generate heat in their workings. Mechs and robots have to have coolant systems to prevent overheating. The Heatsink takes some of the load off of cooling systems and takes the heat energy to power it's own workings. The blast typically is fairly weak as compared to the original one, but it is still an auxillary blast that can be charged (it is a regular blaster about 1/3-1/10 the size of the regular blaster, which means that it's capacity is usually not maxed out by one heatsink).

Remember that regular melee weapons, ambient energy cannons, most magic weapons, and other devices do not generate enough heat to power a Heatsink. Also note that other outboard devices (external sensory apparatuses, communication clusters, missile batteries after firing) also can supply heat. Missiles can be upgraded with this, taking excess heat from the propulsion mechanism, but it is typically a waste of an upgrade.
