The Councils and the All-Monster

Regrettably, the dimension that the All-Monster was sealed in was thus sealed because it was the Gateway to Fate. It was ironic that the All-Monster did not realize it sooner, but the combination of his grogginess and his sensing events all over (the Xel'Naga's defeat by the Zerg, the beginnings of Earth civilization, the Netherealms being created) prevented him from sensing it sooner. The Golden Knight had chosen hastily, and it nearly led to the creation of a new evil.

When the All-Monster finally found the real identity of his dimension, he began recruiting Avatars in earnest. A few Avatars joined up before hand, but now he was truly hiring. However, the commotion stirred the Golden Knight as well; the energy of the Fates were raging. The Golden Knight contacted numerous of the new species. These super-warriors of their respective species and occupations were part of the new wave of beings that were starting to rival the gods. These warriors formed into four Councils: the Council of Dragons, Psionics, Mages, and Warriors.

The four Councils convened and decided to raid the Dimension of Fate. They broke into the All-Monster's dimension and went through the dimensional "tunnel" being constructed. They took on the old Avatars and defeated them (and since it was in the dimension the All-Monster was in, he could not revive them). Then they engaged the All-Monster in brutal mortal combat. Many of them were defeated, but the All-Monster was thoroughly defeated and banished from the dimension.
