Origin of the All-Monster
The All-Monster's history is wrapped up in extremely archaic history. During the chaotic period at the beginning of the universe, a god-like creature known only as the Creator visited the worlds that would be the Final Fantasy worlds. Detecting numerous future dangers to the fate of the universe, he decided to attempt to change their fate. His time period was that which the Xel'Naga belonged to (it is believed that the Xel'Naga were some of the latest of that period, the earliest of the sentient races). The Creator decided to return later. When he returned, he influenced events ever so slightly. Growing irritated at his own unwillingness to change, he decided to create two new sons. However, he underestimated the power of a society.
These two godlike sons were raised in drastically different environments. One was raised with good, honest, God-fearing folk; not especially heroic or successful, but the bread-and-butter of mankind. The other was raised among a family of scoundrels, liars and cheats. Both took the ambient emotional energy and transformed into something else. The first, the Golden Knight, became a champion of all that was good, while the All-Monster collapsed into his own decadence and reveled in despair. His figures matched the future monsters, making him a Cell of the FF monsters.
Needless to say, the two soon discovered of each other's existence. A massive war took place, in which common creatures were involved; the All-Monster was the first to use pawns, and the Golden Knight had to respond. In the end, both were trapped in a prison. The All-Monster was sealed in a mountain leading to an alternate dimension set off from almost every other dimension in existence (except one small one, which became important later.) He was put into a sort of grogginess; not full slumber or stasis, but bare consciousness. Meanwhile, the Golden Knight was trapped by the trickery of the All-Monster, who made one of his greatest friends, the Crystal Knight, the guardian of him. The Crescent Islands of the future Final Battle world were split in half, and the Crystal Mountain submerged into the ocean and trapped by an amazingly complex reflection spell.
Little known to most, the Creator was partially responsible for the ending of the war. He was both disappointed and pleased. While his experiment with his sons had failed, he felt that they had started a catalyst for events that would keep the races of those worlds moving, and that the need for God-beings like himself was gone. He trapped himself in a mountain on the poles of one of the worlds (the world that Thrash and Badcat hail from) and made an amazing cold storm constantly swirl the mountain, with chills strong enough to stop all but the most determined and prepared adventurers.
