Dynamic and Semi-Dynamic Weapons

You'll see me use this term throughout the site. Dynamic and semi-dynamic weapons are more complex than regular ones. Their power lies in their near-infinite upgrade capacities.

Dynamic Weapons: Dynamic Weapons are intriguing. Only a very few exist (most swords generated by people are dynamic, but we're talking about external objects here). Dynamic weapons can expand their abilities. Sometimes, a different user can draw more out of the sword than others. For instance, Thrash using his Neutral Excalibur can create energy fields, waves, beams, and so on. But someone taking his weapon would only be able to use it as a regular sword. In some senses, the weapon becomes a character. The weapon can even have "levels" to develop! Rune weapons would appear to be good candidates for dynamic weapons, as they contain an intelligence. Keep in mind that the sword can also be upgraded and enchanted in regular ways. Also remember that the weapons will learn abilities fitting them. A dynamic fire blade will only develop skills to summon or control or blast fire, never to blast ice or lightning (unless it makes sense or it is upgraded to do so).

Semi-Dynamic Weapons: Semi-Dynamic Weapons are less extreme than Dynamic Weapons. They usually cannot "learn abilities". However, they do have a set of abilities within which they can be upgraded to oblivion. Secret of Mana swords are Semi-Dynamic: they must be upgraded by an outside source but have limitless capacities.
