Bahamut's Warriors

Bahamut tended to merely rule some of the dragons and mostly leave Earth alone until Tiamat seduced him. He has always loved humans, but now he is taking an active role in their development by attempting to fight Tiamat's brood.

Excelsior Minions

These are social outcasts or pawns of the mysterious Mr. X (or E; it depends on who you talk to). They work for this mighty master of manipulation; Kane, the Horsemen, and several others are scared of this unknown presence. The lack of information on him is even more frightening than any real information could be. One of the very few accounts of witnessing him was a fight with Matrix Cutter and 20 Cyborg Commandos. The battered Cyborg Commandos fired at Mr. E, but he deflected the shots with ease and then killed the Cyborg Commandos with their own blasts.

Dark Eldritch

Dr. Wily's Group

Dr. Wily is, well, wily. He has continually fashioned robots to harass and annoy Mega Man. However, with the advent of stronger forces, just like many one-upped forces in the same scenario, Dr. Wily has been forced to go underground. But this is probably the best thing he could ever have done. He is generating new robots at a phenomenal rate, has begun to use the Internet, has allied with the Nod and others, and is starting to become very dangerous.

First Wave

The invasion force portrayed in the First Wave TV show. It appears that an unholy alliance between the Yeerks and the First Wave has taken place.

GDI

The quick-deployment force developed by the United Nations. After it's great success against Nod, the GDI underwent a massive increase. Now it is very big and is used much of the time.

Hackers and Cyber-terrorists

The hackers and cyber-terrorists are a very "wild card" group, similar to the Vagabonds. Some are evil, anarchistic, racist. These are the cyber-terrorists. They attack computer networks worldwide, but the line between cyber-terrorist and conventional terrorist has been blurred by the creation of the Reality Matrix or the Real Internet, or whatever name is given to it. This allows people to, in typical cyberpunk fashion, physically move around the world using the computer networks. Thus, conventional terrorists frequently use the Internet, and cyber-terrorists often vandalize and destroy in physical manners. Other hackers are neutral, maybe a little bit bad, but mostly harmless. Then there are some who are "good", who help authorities and honor them. They are against chaos. Matrix Cutter and Trent Haranasik, two immortal rivals, are perfect examples of the conflicting hacker philosophies.

The Lavos'

The Lavos' are massive space parasites. They destroy planets and absorb the DNA and essence of all on it, giving them incredible power. They then move on and cannibalize another planet. Crono was the first success at stopping a Lavos; then, the Horseman of Death was fooled into killing it. The Lavos' will try a few times, then they will leave Earth alone temporarily.

Noted enemies: Practically everyone.

Noted allies: Other Lavos'.

Mafia's

The Mafias of the world have found MD Earth and it's new opportunities a ripe place to expand. With the mutual help of the Nod and other chaotic forces, they have risen.

Noted enemies: Each other, Monolith, U.S.

Matrix Lifeforms

This is another coverall faction. These are lifeforms generated in the Matrix/Internet. A few examples include Cyber Hitler, Cyber Satan, Cyber Angel, and Cyber Armageddon. All of these are threats to someone or another, but they have wildly conflicting goals. Nonetheless, they all are constricted to the Matrix, although their minions may wreak havoc anywhere.

Monolith

While not quite the monopolistic force envisioned by Sparrow's Company, the Monolith is starting to move towards that kind of business aggression. Their money and influence decides wars and politics all over the globe. The Monolith has the potential to be benign, but it often acts in very evil manners.

Nod

The Nod are the followers of Kane, a manipulative political leader with aspirations for world dominance and significant supernatural powers. The Nod is a massive cult which apparently reaps on the bones of Communism; Nod and GDI are eternal enemies. The Nod went underground after the massive GDI purge, which the Monolith and other factions helped in. Unfortunately, Kane, in manner typical of him, was completely able to go underground and control mafias and other evil organizations all over the world. Everyone knows it, no one can prove it. It makes former Cyborg Commandos, extremely desired because of their high skill and incredible damage, hard to trust because of former Nod connections.

Noted enemies:

Excelsior Minions

The GDI

Noted allies:

The cyber terrorists

Mafias, especially Al Capone's Mob

Skynet

The infamous super-computer from Terminator 1 and 2. It would have gone ahead with the Judgment Day future, but the new forces on the planet were able to stop any attempt it made. So it lives in very close proximity with the United States, satisfying the motto "keep your friends close, your enemy's closer". As much as the U.S. and Skynet don't like each other, they must work together.

The Rangers

The Rangers are the famous group embodied by Thrash and Badcat. The free-wheeling Rangers tend to stay out of politics and try to help the common man. For this, the common man loves them and the government fears them. The Ranger presence on MD Earth is minimal, but is growing rapidly.

Tiamat's Brood

Tiamat's Brood are the offspring of Tiamat, the Queen of Serpents. She prolificizes in order to get enough broodlings to start Armageddon. She has mated with gods, with vampires, with fellow dragons. Even Bahamut fell to her charms.

U.S. Government

The U.S. Government is as powerful as ever. The democracy has leaped on the new opportunities and has made the best of them. New technologies are exploited by U.S. Government scientists. The military is massive, with factions within it. Some of the military wants genetics and supertroops to be the word of the day, others want more mechs, more power armor. The U.S. Government constantly experiments and plots; they control the Titan II, a line of defense so powerful that even the Yeerks were scared of it.

Vagabonds

This is a catch-all category. Basically, all those who travel with a nomadic lifestyle (like bikers, gypsies, etc.) are in this category. Vagabond unity is far better than ever in history, and they usually throw themselves wholeheartedly behind missions to save Earth.

Yeerks

The controlling invading race which the Animorphs have fought for much time. The MD Earth portals has enabled the Andalites to come in small numbers, but the new dangers set loose by Earth also occupies them. The Yeerks, however, must fight tooth and nail for any Earth gain. Whenever they temporarily set back the Animorphs, a threat like the Zerg or the Lavos' come along and destroy their plans once again.

Noted enemies:

The Andalites

Most intelligent races on MD Earth

Noted allies:

Other Yeerks

The First Wave

The Zerg

The conquering insect race from Starcraft. They are currently assaulting Earth in a manner uncharacteristic of the Zerg. The mighty Firebrand fought many and figured out their patterns. Something on MD Earth attracts them... but what? Could it be a new insectoid race on the planet, or could it be the desire to assimilate this multi-dimensional anomaly into their swarm?
