Things go innocently enough in the post-Y2K era. But the balance of power remains weirded. The world seems normal, but undercurrents run... And then the ley lines explode.
Were there not forces prepared for this, the world might have become a new Rifts Earth. Fortunately enough, a few mysterious forces have vested interests in keeping the world the same. They succeed, as a group, in containing the ley lines. However, the balance of power changes. Magic, psionics, superhumans come out from hiding and show themselves. A small monopoly takes advantage of the new markets and becomes the Monolith, a feared supercorporation. The United States unveils many of it's secret projects, showing itself to be the leading power. Or is it? For a new force appears. But not really, not a new force. An old force that has been with man for much time. And this force is pleased by the new developments.
The Nod hide, the mobsters change, the Zerg come, new Overminds are created, the Horsemen of Apocalypse ride and are defeated. The world changes, and only the best adapt with it.

Minos I is born.
Minos I/Astarion is killed by Theseus.
Loki Primus, a mysterious entity, acquires his name after being confused for the real Loki by a Viking tribe.
Minos XIII is born.
The Soviets and the Allieds fight in the original Command and Conquer.
A fanatical group known as the Nod, headed by Kane, emerge and challenge the dominance of existing powers. The Global Defense Initiative, or GDI, mobilizes to combat the threat.
The Nod are defeated the first time by the GDI. Kane gets hit by a Ion Cannon.
The Agents are formed.
Minos XIV is born.
Skynet is subdued.
The Nod re-emerge, this time with the backing of mutants. The GDI unveils the Mammoth MKII and the Ghoststalkers.
The Nod are defeated again. Kane hides, putting the Nod firmly underground.
The Monolith is started as a small company under the directorship of Xavier Starsley.
The ley lines explode.
Tiamat begins her new brood.
The Horsemen of the Apocalypse ride and are defeated.
The Horseman Seeds are created.
The Monolith becomes a major factor in world powers.
The Horseman of Death gets the skull from Cubert.
Lavos lands in Nicaragua.
Death and Lavos defeat each other.
The Zerg begin their invasion of Earth..
The Zerg lose the planet Nebruyin, a major logistical point, to an odd group of superhumans and Ex. troopers. The Nebruyin conflict
The Shadows and Zentraedi begin THEIR invasion.
Pestilence awakens and takes over a major section of the Zerg. This is the first new Overmind to challenge the originals' dominance.
Cubert becomes the third Overmind, taking over many vital Zerg heroes.
