Message from Skylander Strongwind

First I would like to welcome everyone to The Spellbinders. I want you to understand one thing and that is, that I Believe in this guild and in its members and officers. Without you there would be no guild.

I have been a member of this guild almost from the creation of it. And although this guild would and could run just as smooth without me. It could not run as smooth as it does without you. So you are getting the picture now. I believe that you are the guild and you are what makes this a guild, and any action you take, shows the rest of Norrath just what kind of people we are. A simple helpful hand or little thank you when someone helps you out, a little courtesy goes a long way in showing Norrath who we are.

I would like to say this very clearly so everyone understands where I stand. It is a lot harder to make a good guild than it is to make a bad one. A hundred helpful hands can be wiped out with only one rude remark to another person. So I am going to Break down what I would like to see happen within the guild. Bear in mind most of this already is being conducted by the members anyway, but I believe it bears saying again.

I only have 3 things that really bother me, and these are it.

1. There will be bo harrassing of any player in or out of the guild

2. There will be no kill stealing.

3. There is no need to beg for anything.

What the Guild expects from the Council:

1. The Council will be made up of 4 Officers. This Council will be responsible for making sure that things run smooth within the guild and to act as the judges as they are needed. They will vote on the new officers, as a replacement is needed, they will also be responsible for handing down any punishment that needs to be deal with with in the guild weather this punishment be probation, removal as an Officer, or removal from the guild.

2. Any dicision from the council will be a majority vote with the Guild Leader breaking any ties within the Council.

3. Any member can request the council to look into anything that any member fills is a posible violation, or is hurtful to the guild by emailing the council from the webpage.

What the Guild expects from the Officers:

1. You will need to belong to the guild for a period of 3 months before becoming eligable to be an officer.

2. You will need to free up some time, because as an officer your job is to monitor the Guild and be there when a member needs your help.

3. Your conduct and actions you take with others, will be the same as what you expect, and what this guild expects from its members. ( This Guild will tolerate no misconduct from any officer within this guild and it will be grounds for dismissal as an officer and possible removal from the guild.)

4. There are only 12 positions available for officers, and they are currently full. So this positions will be held by members that play there charactors, not by a character that sits and is never played. This is not fair to the guild and to the members that need them.

5. Any officer that leaves the guild and then returns will not be placed back as an officer, instead he or she will be eligable for any opening that come available along with any other member.

6. Any Officer that removes a charactor and starts a new charactor useing the same name for any reason will not be reinstated as an Officer but will be eligable for any opening that come available alone with any other member.

What the Guild expects from its members:

1. That you as a member conduct yourself as a Spellbinder. You are to show people respect, kindness and courtesy throughout Norrath as you are an Ambassador and people will make a judgement on what they see you do.

2. Any misconduct as a member of this guild will place you on a probational statis and depending on the nature of the incident possible removal from the guild.

What I would like to see happen in the guild:
I would like to see more of the members taking part in the setting up of events within the guild. You don't need to be an officer to conduct an event. All you need to do is be willing to take the time it take to set up the event. No reasonable request will be turned down. I would like to see the guild starting to hunt as a group more often. No way am I saying that we have to hunt with only Spellbinders all the time. That would be placing us in a little shell to protect us and that is something I hope never happens, because part of our job is to help the people of Norrath, and remember that we can not survive inside a protected shell for very long and remember that without the people of Norrath there would not be a need for a guild such as The Spellbinders.

AND THAT SPELLBINDERS WOULD BE A SHAME.
