Tips for Conquering FF6/3
As rpg games go, Final Fantasy 6/3 is fairly straight forward. However, it is still an rpg game, which means it isn't a pushover, so here are some helpful hints! (P.S. Feel free to e-mail me any questions!)
Character Management & Boss Fights
- Tip 1: Final Fantasy 6/3 may have alot of characters to work with, but you can't always choose who you have in your party. That means you should keep everyone's levels realitively equal, especially with people like Locke or Terra.
- Tip 2: Make sure you keep everyone's equipment up-to-date. That's a basic with most rpg games.
- Tip 3: When it comes to items, you can never have too many. You never know when you might get stuck in a dungeon with no way out and a billion monsters to fight.
- Tip 4: Don't hold back in boss-fights. Remember, you can always visit an inn or go shopping for items after the battle, but the games over if you don't get 'em with everything you got when you got it!
- Tip 5: Usually if there is an oppurtunity to shop before a certain event, it means you're in for a challenge, so take full advangtage of whatever they give you.
Fighting Kefka
- Tip 1: be careful what order you place your characters in. Kefka gets harder as you go, and if a character stays fainted for too long they will be replaced by the next one in line. I recommend you start with some of your weaker people, so you don't ware out the strong ones right away.
- Tip 2: Before you fight Kefka, make sure everyone is in peak condition, and that they know as much powerful magic as they can.
- Tip 3: It doesn't hurt to wander around a bit in the area before Kefka's dungeon and fight monsters to get stronger. The easier it is for you to defeat them, the easier it'll be for you to take down Kefka.
Exploring the World
- Tip 1: If something looks interesting, it probably is. Make sure you check out every opening, wall, box, or barrel you see. It can be worth the effort.
- Tip 2: After the world changes and you must go and find everyone, make certain that you search every single place in the world with a fine-toothed comb. Trust me, you don't wanna miss out on getting anyone back!
- Tip 4: Fiquring out how to get treasure boxes may seem like a waste of time, or exploring different area could appear tedious. But trust me, the harder it is to do domething in this game, the sweeter it will be when you finally accomplish your goal.
