The United Federation of Planets is proud to announce the arrival of three new peoples to our ranks. These include the Romulan Star Empire, the Elkari people of Elkar Prime and the Lendaxian Government of Xandin II. While the Lendaxians are trial members, as their whole world is not participating in it's application, the Lendaxians themselves bring a great amount a resources with them, including a dilithium mine. The Lendaxians are also great engineers, and have begun working on trans-warp theory at Starfleet Command and the Federation Council on Warp Mechanics. The Federation is also pleased at the arrival of the Romulans in Starfleet, and cloaking devices are being fitted on most Starfleet vessels. The Elkari bring a whole new level of combat strategy and technologial theories to the table. The Federation is proud to have them as a member, and is helping the Elkari rebuild their world after it was devastated by the Borg in 2375.
