The Romulan people have come a long way since the Dominion war, and we are now proud allies. The Romulans have achieved Re-Unification with the Vulcan people, and while it's not accepted by all, there are senators of the reunification on the Romulan Council.
The Tal'Shiar have forged a pact with Starfleet Intelligence, and while these to powers are not one, they share information. Work is in proigress to unify with the Obsidian Order in a faction of great information and black ops skills.
The new Romulan Pro-Consul is Seklar, a popular former senator and a political genius. Hopes are that Seklar will bring his people into a new era.
