Other Ships Aboard Pathfinder

The Valkyrie Fighters are in constant update. This small fighters can hold up to four people if their engine cores are removed. Without their main core, a fighter can move at one quarter impulse for up to three hours. Set up to only house the pilot, these small shuttles are fast and furious when at maximum capability.Their engines can reach near Warp One, but not breach it. Only the most skilled pilots combat at these velocities. Recently, the Valkyries aboard the Pathfinder have been outfitted with a limited cloaking shield, which lasts for five minutes before burnout. After this minor time period elapses, the cloak must be recharged for one hour. While cloak is operational, shields cannot be powered on. Also the Valkyries aboard Pathfinder have been outfitted with a minor abalative armor coating. These improvements, the cloak and the armor, were initiated by Lt COmmander Torlok, the Pathfinder's Chief Engineer, and finished by Chief Leoni, the Valkyrie Chief Mechanic.

Also aboard is the Delta Flyer Mark III. Designed by Lt Commander Tom Paris at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, the Flyer is state of the art with a prototype engine. Only the Wing Commander and selected pilots aboard the Pathfinder have clearance to pilot the flyer.

The Pathfinder houses two of these craft, the USS Richter and the USS Montgomery Scott. The Runabouts are used for various exploration and long range recon missions.
