Norebo (noh-REE-boh) is most people’s second favorite Power. He appears as a man of average face, weight, and height. In any human form that he assumes he has the ability to blend into a crowd easily. On occasion, he will visit taverns or gambling houses in the guise of a cheerful innocent stranger, and sets up dice game against the other patrons of the tavern. He has the ability to affect the roll of the dice and can easily cheat without being detected.

Life is full of risks and gambling with fate is teh only thing that makes life worth living. Owning property and life itself are fleeting things, and best enjoyed while you have them.

Norebo is the patron Power of thieves and assassins. He abhors the use of magic or spells to help harm or kill a target. Such actions are unsporting, and if he becomes aware of a follower doing such things, he will intervene directly to prevent that follower from ever profiting through the use of spells again. His worship is popular in the barbarian lands and large cities, and donations to his temples (called Churches of the Big Gamble) are usually in the form of lost bets (as gambling operations are run on-site). Some patron donate to his temple in the hopes of warding off thieves and assassins.

Norebo does not care for lawful behavior, but believes in planning and is a staunch advocate of Neutrality as opposed to Good or Evil. He is a lover of Wee Jas and is often in her company. Their arguments are legendary – some say that the Hellfurnaces began sprouting fire their first argument. Norebo particularly despises Ralishaz for giving gambling and risks a bad name.

Clerics who worship Norebo dress in brown or dark green robes. Churches are typically found on the outskirts of a town, or even further out in the countryside – Norebo prefers a natural setting for his places of worship. His churches are know as "The Church of the Big Gamble", and services involve gambling and drinking. Norebo’s clerics are firm believers in chance, and can be talked into a wager on just about anything. Many work in gambling houses, while others wander the world seeking to add chaos to the lives of those they meet, they especially love bothering the clerics and followers of rigid powers such as Allitur, Pholtus, and St. Cuthbert.
