Phaulkon (FAHL-kahn) is an active Power who is concerned with the affairs of Wearth, and send many omens to the people of the world. He concerns himself with all things that happen under an open sky. He also knows much of artifacts and relics as well as how to temporarily negate their powers. He sees through the eyes of birds and keeps close ties to Aerdie Faenya, the Elven Power of Air and Weather.
Phaulkon is the father of Kord the Brawler. He is second only to his son in fighting ability, though he relies less on brawn and more on strategy and tactics. Phaulkon is a favorite Power for military leaders, especially those who rely upon archers. He appears as a clean-shaven man, usually bare-chested, with wind tousled hair, and is usually depicted with wings.
Victory in battle depends upon archery. The sky is the dome over creation, and creatures of the sky are blessed for freeing themselves from the soil. Tak ethe fight to the enemy; do not wait for the encroach of evil. Th eancient devices of war are best left alone, as their use involves great danger.
The clerics of Phaulkon study the air and clouds for portents and work to protect flying animals, much as a druid would. They teach archery and bow making to people so they may hunt to feed themselves, and they instruct soldiers in ranged combat. Occasionally they give aid when rumors of n evil artifact surface, for they have long studied such matters.
During ceremonies, they wear white clothes and feather headdresses.
