The River of the Ancients

    This wide, deep river flows out of the Mistwall towards the Winedark Sea. It has very high, rocky banks and is slow moving. Occasionally bodies of strange monsters are found floating downstream. There are no fordable areas along this river. There is also no place you can moor a boat of any good size, because of the high rocky banks. Most boats enter and leave the River of the Ancients from "side" rivers and streams where boats can be docked. This river is navigable for as far as anyone has ever traveled (and managed to return).
