Ah, my meager links section. I've seen better, but I've also seen worse. As an added bonus, this thing can double as my favorites list if I have to reinstall AOL. ^_^ So, in no real order, here are my favorite sites (at least, what I liked when I wrote this). The View Askewniverse The official site for View Askew, the guys that did Clerks, Mallrats, and pretty much everything else Kevin Smith has ever directed. How could I not put this site here? PS: If you haven't heard my rant yet, go out and buy every Kevin Smith DVD you can find. Seriously, I recommend anything Kevin Smith has done, and urge everyone to at least buy Clerks: Uncensored (the animated series). X-Entertainment This site is the weirdest thing I've seen since I wrote my quote in the Murasame Staff Page. It's a humor-type thing, I think... I'm not exactly sure, but it's pretty cool. I-Mockery A weird, but funny, but mostly weird site I found in a link from X-Entertainment. (This site and X-Entertainment are full of really good links, by the way.) RPG Classics A site dedicated to RPGs (D&D nerds would call them something like "wanna-be RPGs"), like Star Ocean: Second Story and... well, I can't remember any others. But, it's a pretty cool site. Spawn.com The official website for Todd McFarlane, the guy who writes Spawn. It's a shame I couldn't find a button, it'd probably be wicked-bad-really-cool. It's an excellent site if you're into the Spawn comics. (Imagine me pointing and staring at Sean and Sam... And them pointing right back at me) ^_^ The Yoko Kanno Project This site is dedicated to Yoko Kanno, the genius composer behind the music of Cowboy Bebop, and a ton of other anime. If you're a fan, or want to check it out, this site has a ton of songs in RealMedia format (read: really quick download, poor sound quality). A godsend for those of us with slow dialups (mine's a 14.4 kbs o.O ), 'cause I only have to wait 5 minutes for a song... instead of 30. The Jazz Messengers A Cowboy Bebop fansite. This site has MP3s of most, if not all, of the songs from CB, plus episode guides, complete with movie references, and even what was edited out for Adult Swim. Just a friggin great site. - The Character Archive Network The Character Archive Network is an anime / video game character bio repository. Not as many bios as you'd see on a site dedicated to one series, but pretty impressive, anyway. The staff have that cool factor going for them, too. An excellent site. - Anime Web Turnpike I just looked at this page, and I can't believe that I left this link out for so long! This site has a massive amount of links to any and every aspect of anime, as well as some really good articles. This is a must-see for any otaku. - Anime News Network I'm not too familiar with this site, I just found it. It looks pretty good, posting articles, the sort of things you'd expect from a "News Network". ^_^ - Simpsons Archive This is the Simpsons site to beat all Simpsons sites. If you only go to one Simpsons site this millenium, make it this one. (The people who would go here probably got the thinly veiled Mr. Burns quote: "If you only see one film this year that proves my innocence, make it this one!" I might've messed it up a little, but it was a new episode, and I only saw it once) Anyway, this site has episode capsules, telling way more than you'll ever want to know about any given episode. I forgot what else they have, though... - Anime Cafe A great anime site, it has reviews, content ratings (for parents), and a giant anime encyclopedia, explaining a lot of terms used in anime to those that are still newbies. - Anime Nation It's... um... an online store. Actually, it's an online store on steroids. They have articles, a search engine, a ton of fan stuff, and, oh yeah, they sell anime. Definately a great site. Too bad I'm broke, 'cause this is a lot easier than the eight mile bike ride to the mall. (Although it is a really fun ride on the way back. All downhill!) ^_^ Have a link you'd like to see here? Nah, nobody looks at my site anyway. Actually, e-mail me and I'll put it in. (The site, of course, has to be a "decent" site, and not suck.) |
