Fifteen years ago the reign of Kalak of Tyr came to an end, and not long after, the Dragon Borys of Ebe was
brought down forever, sending ripples of chaos throughout the Tablelands. Other great Sorceror Kings soon
followed, whether to infighting or the foolish insecurities of age.
Only three of their number remain in the sight of the people. Three who were strong enough to withstand the tides of darkness. Three
who have seen the mighty changes rebellion can bring... and they are afraid.
In the wake of recent events the lands of Athas have been thrown into an uproar. For some, this is a time of
freedom the likes of which had never before been imagined. For others, the coming of a new world could not
have been crueler. But none have been left unchanged. None have seen the unraveling of history and been left
without scars.
Though there is now good to be found where once there was only evil, and tolerance where once there was only
hatred, even still all is not well. The shadow of a new threat has risen above the rolling dunes. Sorceror
King Hamanu has once again opened the doors of great Urik after many years of silence, and reports have
begun of secret night travel among the northern city states. Even more unnerving are the rumours of terrible
earthquakes shaking the ruins of the forgotten city of Giustenal and evidence of ancient landmarks fuming
into new life.
What will these tidings mean for the people of Athas? Has evil once again come after too few short years of
peace?
In this Age, who will stand should the tenuous balance once again begin to crumble? It is a question that
only time can answer.
