Remy is a skilled hand-to-hand fighter both unarmed and with his collapsible fighting staff. He has considerable acrobatic ability and has been trained as a thief from a very young age.

Remy doesn’t discuss his past in any real detail. All that is known about his youth is that he was part of the Thieves’ Guild in New Orleans.

How you came to Xavier’s School:
Gambit arrived during a battle between the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He aided the team during the fight and, in the process, added himself to the roster.
Back History:
Remy has been a loyal X-Man since his arrival. He has involved himself in almost every thing that the X-Men have done since he arrived.
He has developed friendships and relationships with almost every member of the team although his closest are with Rogue, who he has pursued romantically since his arrival…with his usual flair of course, Wolverine, which is alternately a friendly-but-fierce rivalry or drinking buddies, and Jubilee, whom he regularly involves in whatever mischief he has decided to plague the mansion with this week.
Personality:
An incorrigible flirt and charmer, no woman is safe from Remy for long. He has little to say about his past and seems more than content to live in the present. In most ways he seems to consider the X-Men to be his family and he is fiercely protective of them. He wouldn’t admit it, but he is.
Special Notes:
Gambit always carries his staff on him somewhere and almost always wears his costume and long jacket, both of which are slightly armored. He only wears normal clothes when his costume would attract extreme attention, or when he feels safe.
His only other unusual feature is his eyes, which are red with black where the whites of a human’s eyes are. This is an obvious mark of oddity to most people, however it does not seem to affect his ability to charm members of the opposite sex.
