Background:

Life before your Mutation:
A bit more on the normal side, nothing exceptional.

Discovering your Power:
He knew about them early on, but didn't really use them until til a group of bullies decided to have some fun with him and his girlfriend at the time, was still in his teens then. He panicked and encased the bullies leader in ice.

How you came to Xavier's School:
Cyclops and Prof. Xavier rescued Bobby from an lynch mob, so when it comes around to Xavier asking Bobby to join, Bobby takes him up on his offer. Stays on for a bit, then makes a go at a normal life, til that falls tthrough, and returns for round two for his own reasons.

Back History:
Bobby Drake was the youngest founding member of the original X-Men, and the comedian of the group. He never seemed to take much of anything seriously throughout the early days of his career as a super-hero, but he usually pulled his weight and coordinated with rest of the team. After a very busy year, Bobby left the team along with the other original X-Men, excepting Cyclops & Marvel Girl who remained with the new team.

There was just something about the business of being an X-men, that didn't suit Bobby's temperment at the time. So, he tried for a time, well most of seven years to be exact, to resume living a normal life, going to school, working for a living, crunching the endless fount of numbers that is an accountants mainstay.

He visited with his family also during this time, a rare occurance for him, since his father hated the fact that he was a mutant. However there was an incident or two that made the old-man change his mind.

Like the time Bobby was able through a subtle use of his talents able to rescue a bunch of kids during a winter where the ice on a nearby lake had gotten a bit too thin. The other time being a nasty car accident that same winter, which gave Bobby's dad the time to reflect that he really didn't know his son all that well, and came to realize that despite Bobby's unnatural abilities, Bobby was a good person, and it was him that was missing out. Especially given the insight that one never knows how much time one has.

And finally it was also during this time apart for the X-men that he finally found love, though briefly, with a woman named Opal, who left him when she decided that his mutant powers set them too far apart. Well, briefly if you could call two years of bliss brief, but that was roughly two years ago. And it was when she left that Bobby gained some insight into Xavier's dream. Taking this as a sign for the next step forward, he finds himself once more amongst the likes of the X-men.

Personality:

Ah, it's Fun to be the clown and prankster, and you'd be surprised what one can accomplish with a well placed ice cube. On another hand, being mister stuffy and serious is a hat he's able to put on, with great reluctance, when the situation calls. It all boils down to being the big kid in an even bigger world.
