These are the Clans of the Empire. Each clan will have it Family Crest. Families that splinter off may create their own with the basic crest of the main family. Remaining Crest can be choosen for new Families (Bloodlines) that are not related.
The Naming Ceremony - At this function, a new member of the clan is officially inducted. Their Japanese name is announced to the clan and they will have their name entered into the Scroll of the Ancestors. They will be presented with the following gifts from the daimyo:
The ceremony concludes with the new member being saluted by the clan as a whole. Details of the ceremony will depend on the daimyo. Sometimes it may be a formal, pomp-filled affair. At other times it may be a simple tea ceremony.
Genji Clan(NPC)
Fighting to attain the Shogunate, the Genji Clan underestimated the Yoritomo Clan forces and taken great loses. They struggle like the Yoritomo Clan to retain what power they have and make a bid later for the Shogunate.
Fujiwara Clan(NPC)
Having lost power awhile back, they still have their eyes on the Shogunate of the Empire. They have a tentitive alliance with the Genji Clan against the Yoritomo Clan, who usurped their power long ago.
Yoritomo Clan(NPC)
The grestest achievement was attaining the First Shogunate of the Empire. They ruled hard and with little mercy, until the Genji Clan rose and toppled them from power. To this day their rivalry spans across the lands as they rebuild their own forces to regain what is rightfully theirs.
Yamamoto Clan(NPC)
Even though the Yamamoto Clan didn't choose side, they were still devastated by both clans. They did not tolerate this for long, for they took the path of Ninjitsu and struck back. To this day, they played both side, at times they killed a rising Lord to keep the power at certain level.
