A long time ago, I grew dissatisfied with typical mecha from the RPG books. I started actually watching the mecha and Mobile armours on TV, and watching the relative damage they did to each other, especially physically.
Eventually it occurred to me that the pilots stamina and personal strength actually transferred into the mecha itself, augmenting it, and making it more personal. (the Gundam Factor). So, after much consideration, and discussion with friends online and off, I came up with a semi-accurate way to enforce this Gundam Factor. I just took the PS of the pilot (generally somewhere in the range of 10-16 or something), and used that as the multiple for the physical damage.
Where a punch in the old Palladium Rules would only be 1D6 MD, it would now be an armour-denting, but not incredibly deadly 1D6 X Pilot's PS, MD. So a pilot with a PS of 15 would be doing damage anywhere from 15, to 90 MD (crush a weapons turret with fist), instead of a 1-6 damage (ding the paint with a two-ton fist).
So any custom mecha I've made have these... increased damage abilities.
Oh yes... the REAL reason I made this page: To define my custom Mecha. In terms of looks, my custom mecha are a blend of Macross II bio-angular panels, Gundam outrageous weapons, and elements taken from the Robotech mecha (such as the Alpha and Beta; Legioss and Tread respectively). So... if I don't give a completely accurate description of what these mecha are designed to look like... just use your imagination. *hint hint* NEED FANART MECHA!!! *cough*
Cybers: Cybers are just the standard, non-transformable, transformable soldier mecha. Any Joe can get a personal Cyber, if he's got the cash. If he's got more cash, he can have it upgraded into a Zyber (though that happens infrequently). Here's a couple of my designs, both request and story-related.

Story (Neo-BoF)
--Octo I-- Mysterious Cyber seen among Dadrak forces near and on Auria.
--Octo II--Enhanced version (or twin version) of the Octo I. Seen once in the battle for the Dark Star Dadrak battle cruiser.
--Zephyr (Angelican Transformable Fighter)-- The mainstay of the Angelican Empire's Cyber forces. Equivalent of the Valkyrie in the Macross/Robotech universe, and the Leo Mobile Suit in Gundam Wing. Though it is transformable, it is not a true Zyber, and so is considered a Cyber.
Zybers: Very rare transformable mecha. Equipped with hardened armour not unkin to the Gundanium of the Gundams, and capable of combining and melding with other Zybers, as well as upgrading to higher weapons, these machines are the most desired in the galaxy. Only the best of the best, or the lucky get Zybers. Some are simply found on dead worlds. Some are rebuilt from sketchy plans. Some... Are best left undiscussed.
No one really knows who actually built the first Zybers. Cybers are back-engineered from them, but it is assumed that some extinct alien race created them. And recent evidence suggests... that some Zybers are so powerful, that they are best left undiscovered. For one of the more powerful Zybers to fall into the wrong hands...
They are the OmniMechs of mecha.

Story (Neo-BoF)
--Kaiser (Draconian Variable Zyber)-- A rebuilt, ancient Zyber. Very powerful. GM's beware.
--Switchblade (Karn's inherited Zyber)-- A Zyber passed down through the ages in Karn's bloodline. Not known to be a Zyber until it was analyzed on Ganta. one of the few that does not have the ability to transform, but is the only one to have MULTIPLE combinations with other Zybers. How many combinations is still unknown, as only one Switchblade exists.
--Seraphim (Angelican Variable Zyber)-- The ancient Zyber that the Zephyr is reverse-engineered from. More analysis is necessary...
