    Máratulda!
    (Welcome!)

Estelinyë lastal asar mí sina nomë.
(I hope that you enjoy your time here.)

My name is Voroturiön which means 'Ever Ruler' in Quenya (High Elvish).
Ever since, I first read the Lord of the Rings I have been entranced by the myth, legends and lore of the First and Second Age of Middle Earth. Further reading of the Silmarillion and the Unfinished Tales has inspired me to learn Quenya and to create this web page. This site is intended as a tribute to the greatest warriors in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien --
the Noldorian Elves of the First and Second Age of Middle Earth.
My site includes several pages dedicated to the High Elven Kings and Elven Ladies of Middle Earth. It also includes several of my poems and my RPG profile. I hope you find this page informative and inspiring.

In Tolkien's canon of works, there are many races of Elves. The first sundering of the Eldar occured at Cuiviénen when the Vanyar and the Noldor traveled to Valinor with several of the Telerian Elves. Those who journeyed to Aman became known as the Calaquendi (Elves of Light) or as they are known in the Common Tongue - High Elves. The High Elves of Middle Earth were the most fair, noble and valour of all living beings. The Vanyar chose to remain in Valinor throughout all the Ages of Middle Earth. Whereas the Noldor, left the Undying Lands in search of the Silmarils. Led by Fëanor, these elves were doomed to the oath of the Noldor. To Middle Earth, they went - Fëanor and Fingolfin leading them to Alqualondë and beyond. The Silmarillion tells the tales of these sons of Finwë who fought and were felled by the Darkest Powers of Middle Earth. These Noldorian Warriors embody the fealty, wisdom and power of the Firstborne.

At the Dagor-nuin-Giliath (Battle-under-Stars): "The Noldor, outnumbered and taken at unawares, were yet swiftly victorious; for the light of Aman was not yet dimmed in their eyes, and they were strong and swift, and deadly in anger, and their swords were long and terrible." -Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien p. 106
