"You hate the fact that your powerless to stop me… that you’re completely outmatched. Well, imagine feeling how you do right now all the time like the people of this planet do."
Imagine growing up in a world forever tottering on the verge of destruction. Mankind, stubborn by nature, continues to struggle against an unbeatable foe in the only manner available to them: survive. However, every edifice they construct, every city they assemble, soon crumbles to dust at the hands of twin killer cyborgs. Imagine living in a world terrorized by the monsters that killed your father, your best friend, and every person your lonely mother ever cared for. Imagine being born with phenomenal power… but still not being able to set your world free.
That is the story of Trunks, born into a world where Dr. Gero's deadly Androids killed all the Z-Senshi and terrorized the world. When we first meet Trunks, he's only a teenager, but a difficult life had hardened the boy into a man at a young age. With fluid motions, and a touch of black humor, Trunks laid waste to Frieza and King Cold before the very eyes of the Senshi. And once the dust settles, his scowl reverts into a friendly smile as he calls the Z-Senshi to join him.
Trunks was a herald from the future, bringing ill tidings of a dark world that the Z-Senshi must fight off with all their might. Clinging to the hope that he could save his world, Trunks fought alongside the Z-Senshi to liberate their own world. But there was another underlying reason for his interest in the past… it was his only opportunity to meet his father, and discover just what kind of man the Saiyan Prince was.
While Trunks was a sensitive young man, he was able to stand up against the verbal (and physical) blows Vegeta assaulted him with, and slowly, Trunks was able to weather Vegeta's unfeeling shell enough for the prince to learn to care for him. In the months he spent in the past, Trunks grew into an incredible warrior, more than powerful enough to destroy the Androids in his world… but just as meek and well-mannered as he was when he arrived. And he returned to the future to set it free, and avenge his fallen comrades once and for all.
