SMRPG- Walkthrough Chapter Two

Kero Sewers

1. Getting in...

To get into the Kero Sewers, jump on the pipe and press down on the control pad. If you press any other button, you'll have to redo this.

2. Where to go?

There are several different places to go...but I've found a SUPER-EASY SHORTCUT! Be warned that this will cheat you out of several flower points. 
When you first enter the part where all those pipes are, go ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT. You'll come to a pipe that's FAR AWAY from all the others. Go down it. Next, you'll want to head towards the rat walking in place on the thin ledge (you'll see it as soon as you enter the room) and jump over the rat onto the ledge with a pipe below it. Enter that pipe. If you did it right, you'll come out of an area with a green switch. Hit the switch, and re-enter the pipe you came out of. DO NOT JUMP ON THE "WARP" Trampoline as it will ruin the WHOLE thing. Finally, jump in the pipe where the water was (you'll probably see a fish jumping around near you). Next, go along the "L" shaped platform and step on the save block. From there, just enter the pipe on the end AND FIGHT BELOME!! It also might be a good idea to equip Mario with a Trueform Pin if you have one.

Midas River

1. Swimming down the river

Ok, this is fairly easy. You just basically hit the "B" button to swim up the water a little bit. There are 2 flowers possible in the caves, as well as 5 Frog Coins on the water itself! Explore!

2. Barrel Jumping

I have some tips here to make sure you get as many coins as you can. First of all, you start out on the left. DON'T jump; you'll move to the right. Second, after you've collected three "sets" of 4 coins each (jump from barrel to barrel), then move to the other side by *not* jumping. Once on the left side, collect one set of four or five coins, then go back to the right side.

3. After you're done

The fella who runs the course will tally up the coins, and give you frog coins for them. If you get really high scores, you will see the number of coins it takes to get a frog coin jump slowly from 80 back down to the first-time bonus, 60. If you get all 100 coins, you get 5 extra frog coins.

Rose Way

1. Get on the yellow blocks

To get on these yellow blocks, just jump on. Be warned that you can't jump off until they've reached a complete stop. You want to aim for the exit at the top, as the one on the side will take you to a frog coin.

2. Collect some coins

This is easy. An easy way to collect some dough in Rose Way is to jump and try to collect the large coins above...they're worth 10 each!

3. Go to the clearing

Next, you want to head for the clearing where there aren't any blocks. Just curve around until you've reached the other side. Aim straight down, unless you want to collect some coins.

4. See Bowser!

The first time you enter Rose Way, you'll see Bowser in the last screen. He talks about how it's the Koopa Troop's "finest moment" and how they're going to reclaim his castle...some people just NEVER give up, do they?

Rose Town

1. Frogfucius was RIGHT!

Boy, was he ever. The people in Rose Town are getting showered with arrows, coming from an unknown source. If you explore town, maybe you'll see a few (or most) of the people who live there standing like statues.

2. Help the guy get into his house...

Want an easy way to pick up 2 FPs, a hidden treasure box, and the location of treasure in the Forest Maze? Then you can't pass this up! Go to the upper-left corner where you see someone moving. Jump on top of his head, and into the house above. Get the treasures, and go upstairs. There's a hidden treasure box on the bed, and you can hit the switch and let him back into his house...however, if you DON'T PUSH on the switch and exit the house, he'll still be stuck. You can get a Frog Coin from him later by doing this IF you collect the treasure in the forest.

3. Go into the Rose Town Inn!

Once you enter the Rose Town Inn, you'll see Gaz playing with his dolls. You'll play that game for a while, then he knocks you out. While you're out cold, the doll will come to life and head for the forest. When you wake up, that's where you gotta go too!

Forest Maze-2

1. Weave through the first part...

First of all, if you want some cool prizes later, *DON'T* take the mushrooms you find lying around. Basically, you just enter the pipe, go underground, and rise to the surface again. From there, go to the LAST pipe in the center (you can't go forward), and approach the sleeping wiggler. It will wake up, get real mad, kick you out of the pipe, and open a doorway. From there, you just go down the pipe in the next screen and continue.

2. The Maze!

Ok, I'll make this short and sweet. There are *2* ways to get to a special place in the maze. If you go up, left, down, down, then left again, you'll get the treasure. If you did that first, then exit and get back to where the save block is (don't exit the STAGE). If you want to get to Bowyer, following Geno might be a little difficult. Here's how to do it: Right, Up, Up, Right, Up, Left.

3. Get rid of Bowyer (not Bowser) and have Geno join your team

Basically, you'll need to figure out how to fight Bowyer on your own, or you can check my Major Meanies Tip Guide section. Anyways, after you get rid of him, Geno will explain who he is and that the star pieces are a part of the Star Road, which grants wishes. He'll then join your team...however, in the process of him telling the story, one of Bowyer's flunkies will overhear it and tell Smithy everything!
