Hall of the Arkati
As you walk along Shimaerslin Wey, eastern end of Ta'Vaalor city, you will find a small but elegant structure that is dedicated to the worship of Arkati, the Hall of the Arkati.
You will easily find it as it is the only pure white marble structure of it's kind on that street. The heavily carved front doors are very notable by the twin statues of Koar that stand on either side.
When you enter the building you will be amazed at the beautiful entryway that greets you. Fluted white marble columns hold up a high-arched, plastered ceiling. Exquisite frescoes are painted across the expanse of plaster, reflecting the night sky of Elanith with her myriad moons and constellations. Several mithglin lanterns line the edges of the rooms, each containing a small white votive that sheds just enough light to illuminate the artwork.
As you walk to the west you will find a chapel dedicated to Koar. Golden light filters into the chamber from a diamond-paned glaesine skylight high above. Raw silk carpets cover the floor and the pale undecorated walls have the smooth ivory gleam of aged lime plaster.
A carved haon altar sits upon a small dais near the far wall.
The exquisite altar is carved of pale silvery-blue haon and topped with a slab of pure white marble. Each corner of the piece is carved in a stylized representation of Koar. One lone perpetually burning candle is placed on the altar.
Continuing south of the entrance is a short narrow hall that ends in a lovely glaes-paned door. The door leads out into a small courtyard.
A lovely carved pale rosewood bench, worn smooth from years of weather and
use, is there for restings upon. Carved words are barely visible on
the bench's seat back that reads: FRAE NAIRA VERS DEIAM
Back inside the hall, take special note of the beautiful pale green and gold runner carpets that line the hallway from end to end. These carpets were imported from
famed city of Ta'Loenthra.
A shadowed arch leads off from the hallway into a small alcove. In the alcove, small niches are set into the white plastered walls at regular intervals from floor to ceiling. Many of the niches hold small white votive candles, while others house small statues of Koar, Phoen, Kai and Eonak. A narrow monir door, heavily carved with a scene depicting Koar upon a massive throne, occupies the center of the wall. The door is locked from the public.
