Talabrina Baenre, a rogue drow mage, bard, and cleric, emerged from the shadowed depths of Menzoberranzan, only to embark on a journey that would reshape her destiny. Born into the illustrious House Baenre and the eldest daughter of the formidable Archmage Gromph Baenre, her life took an unexpected turn when her secret allegiance to Eilistraee, the goddess of the moon and song, was discovered.
In the eldritch city of Menzoberranzan, Talabrina was a striking figure, slender, delicate, and standing at a height of 5 ft 11 in. Adorned with the customary ebony skin and thick white hair of her drow kin, her expressive red eyes hinted at both intelligence and a penchant for mischief. Regarded as one of the most beautiful drow females in Menzoberranzan, she navigated the intricacies of her society with a sardonic and witty personality, often engaging in practical jokes.
Her wardrobe, when not graced with elaborate dresses, featured the iconic piwafwi, tight black leathers, and black chainmail. This attire symbolized her adaptability, both in the arcane arts and the brutal combat that her drow heritage demanded.
Talabrina's capabilities were a fusion of Wizardry, Divine Magic, melee combat and song, making her a formidable force in battle. Skilled in the use of projectile weapons and particularly fond of throwing spiders, she was a ruthless warrior-priestess when the need arose. Her signature piwafwi and elven boots were complemented by unique items like her father's Book of Portals, a ring of water breathing, and a grimoire on sea and water magic, all obtained during her adventures on the surface world and beyond.
Born to Gromph Baenre and Sosdrielle Baenrae, Talabrina's childhood unfolded within the complexities of Menzoberranzan's noble houses. Under the tutelage of Xandra Shobalar, her magical training began at the tender age of five, kept a secret as she rapidly outpaced her peers. An unfortunate rivalry with Xandra's daughter, Bythnara Shobalar, ended in tragedy when Talabrina, defending her own life, resorted to drastic measures.
Despite her father's influence sparing her from the priestess academy for a time, Talabrina eventually found herself at Arach-Tinilith. The stifling environment and restrictions only intensified her rebellious spirit, leading her to play pranks on her rival, Shakti Hunzrin, and seek solace in moments of escapade.
Her turning point came during the Blooding ritual when her allegiance to Eilistraee was revealed. Confronted with the revelation that her father and Xandra sought her demise, she seized an opportunity to escape Menzoberranzan, using the Book of Portals to reach the surface lands.
Venturing into the vast unknown, she encountered Eilistraee's song and found love with Shai`taa beneath the roots of the tree of life in Teradryn. Talabrina's adventures extended to the mysterious world of Earth, where magic intertwined with advanced technology in ways that bewildered her drow sensibilities.
Returning to Otara and Teradryn, she resumed her marriage with Shai`Tann, celebrating their love and welcoming a child into the world. Talabrina's journey, marked by rebellion, love, and exploration, stands as a testament to the resilience and adaptability of a drow who defied the shadows that once bound her.
