Lae`Sharra is a young drow woman, whose six foot height is average for a drow woman. Her dark features are smooth and without expressive contours other than the nose. Combined with her cool blue eyes a rarity and undesireable trait among the drow, she is rather soft of feature, for lacking the hard angular edges that many drow are known for. It was speculated that her ancestry is not pure and that she may even be tainted with human in her bloodline. Thus, she is not the incarnation of drow beauty, though beautiful none the less. Her slender elven physique may be underestimated on first glance, but anyone who watches her for more than a moment will recognize her power. Rigorous training has lead to a very tense and firm skin, powerful elven muscles, and bones which provide her with balance. Her motions display control and painful discipline, and she moves like a beast of prey. She wears skin tight clothing of black patent leather, even her armour is designed in that way. She typically sets accents with blood red silk cloths and tops. Leather straps keep her already tight outfit aligned with her skin, which she presents in a few places. She carries her primary weapon, a curved short sword, hanging from a relatively fine chain around her waist. The punch holes of the leather strap around her chest are filled with rivets. Lae`Sharra was once a drow assassin with relatively little influence but deep devotion, belonging to a sect following Lolth and worshipping demons. Her life took a tragic turn when she bore a son 23 years ago, conceived through dark means and in a perverted ritual. Nevertheless, she loved him dearly, and for a brief period, he became the sole focus of her life. However, his life was cut short only a few weeks after birth. The exact cause of his death remained unclear, with factions even claiming responsibility merely to deepen her grief, but the most likely explanation was a natural child death. In her anguish, Lae`Sharra sought solace in her work as an assassin, seeking to inflict the pain she felt upon others. On one fateful mission to murder a Surface Elf family, House Vel`Dann, she found an infant child, perhaps a few days older than her own. The mother had died in childbirth, and despite her dark intentions, Lae`Sharra couldn't bring herself to end the child's life. Tending to the baby boy's needs, she fed him with her own milk. However, her compassion led to her capture by the father, a Mindmage of considerable power. He sensed something redeemable within her, a spark of goodness amidst the darkness of her past. Offering her a choice, he allowed her to stay with him as snagga and care for the child, or he would call the guard and have her imprisoned. For Lae`Sharra, the decision was clear, and she willingly surrendered herself as snagga. Instead of imprisonment, Lae`Sharra was taken as Snagga and trained as Sajorte, to serve the family and raise the child. For 16 years, she devoted herself to this endeavor, nurturing the boy and ensuring his well-being. Her commitment was unwavering, and when her time as snagga ended, she chose to remain as Sajorte, continuing her training and teaching the house warriors for an additional seven years. But eventually, she felt a calling beyond the confines of House Vel`Dann. Seeking redemption for her past deeds and a chance to serve a greater purpose, Lae`Sharra went to the royal palace and begged for an audience with the king. There, she bared her soul, recounting her life's story and offering him all she had; her skills and her very life. Moved by her sincerity and determination to change, the king accepted her as a royal sajorte, and she has served loyally ever since, channeling her past experiences into a force for good within the palace walls. |
