Rutha`Nolis Iarven
Lord Hand of Rhyanne

Born on the secluded island of Falanore, Rutha`Nolis Iarven's life began in the shadow of mystery and turmoil. His parents, Rhysanus Ariquis and Janyana Iarven, painted a complex tapestry of emotions that would shape his destiny in unforeseen ways.

Rutha`Nolis entered the world as the product of a tumultuous union. His mother, Janyana, a Half Elf, attempted to take the life of his father, Rhysanus Ariquis, for reasons shrouded in mystery. In self-defense, Rhysanus inadvertently took Janyana's life, leaving their newborn son at the center of a web of unanswered questions.

Before the tragic events unfolded, Janyana had hidden Rutha`Nolis away, his whereabouts becoming an enigma to Rhysanus. The complexities of his birth created a foundation for a life filled with intrigue and uncertainty.

During his early years, Rutha`Nolis navigated the shadows of Falanore, unaware of his true lineage. Raised by kind-hearted individuals who took him in, his childhood was marked by a sense of longing and a quest for identity. All he knew was that his mother was killed by an Elf named Rhysanus. He had no information other than that. The whispers of his mysterious past echoed through his mind constantly, leaving an indelible mark on his soul.

He spent his years growing up training as a Ranger and later a Soldier, trying to amass as much power and wealth as he could. Initially, Rutha`Nolis harbored a deep-seated desire for revenge against the unknown Elf, blaming him for the tumultuous events surrounding his birth and a life spent without parents. No one knew who or what happened to his father, only that his mother was a half-elf and was the Sheriff of the Kingdom.

He searched for answers. Who was this, Elf Rhysanus? Why did he kill my mother? Where can he be found? For many years, he asked anyone he met these same questions until finally, someone gave him his answer. Rhysanus was the King. Falanore had been a part of Arethane for almost all his life, but Arethane was far away, and the governance of Falanore fell to some Coronal he neither knew about nor cared to. Politics and nobility were to him like water and oil, and he avoided them as much as he could. However, now knowing his father was the King, a High Lord Chief Elf bastard Noble, he set off for Arethane.

Upon getting there, he searched around for a few weeks, eventually finding himself in Teradryn and then at the Royal Palace. He stormed into the Throne room to confront the Killer King and then stopped in complete utter shock. The king was an older version of himself. It was like looking into a mirror. Confused but knowing immediately that this man, this killer, was his father, he just said one word. Why?

Rhysanus too was in shock but not as much as his son. He had foreseen this event in his meditations and so was prepared but not prepared for his appearance. He began to explain to Rutha`Nolis everything. Who he was. What happened to his mother. Why he was never taken to be with him. Rutha'Nolis at first did not believe but listened and then walked out and spent the next month going over everything in his mind. In the end, he returned to the palace and asked to be allowed to get to know Rhysanus. The request was granted, and gradually, the flames of animosity flickered out, replaced by a surprising friendship and mutual respect between father and son. He spent a year at the palace.

Choosing to abdicate any claims to the throne, Rutha`Nolis distanced himself from the complexities of royal inheritance. He embarked on a journey of self-discovery, dedicating years to the Retreat, a period of introspection and growth that took him far from the kingdom's confines.

In his quest for personal understanding, Rutha`Nolis found solace in the capital of Rhyanne, serving as the Hand of Malarick Halfelven, the king of Rhyanne. Amidst the intricate webs of elven history, politics, and turmoil, his role as the Kings Hand played a pivotal part in shaping the destiny of the realm.

Rutha`Nolis embraced the Dragonwright Gods, with a particular devotion to Moranthis. The clueless orphan, lusting for revenge and answers, now stood as a pillar of strength and wisdom in the heart of Rhyanne.
