Jaraliss "Sleanra" Noquar, the Drow Paladin of Larini, Wizard, and Diabolist, stands as a complex character with a tumultuous past. Originally an evil follower of Nocticula, the Demon Goddess, Jaraliss grew disillusioned with the vile nature of the Underdark and the Drow. Seeking a change, he left the darkness behind to join the surface world. He is the nephew of Velgren Noquar the Drow Anti-paladin and has over the years fought him several times, each tryiong to kill the other as each serve gods that are mortal enemies. In the city of Haven, he encountered a group of heroes, among them a Paladin named Ci`nil, whose example inspired Jaraliss's slow transition towards goodness and the ways of a paladin. Despite his stereotypical Drow tendencies, including a love for combat and a willingness to kill, Sleanra gradually adopted a more noble path. Known for his practical jokes, insufferable libido, and a superiority complex, Sleanra is unapologetically true to his nature. His relationships with women are fleeting, and he has fathered at least two children – one with Zodea, a human wizard, and another with Leeistra, the Drow Psi-Mystic who later acquired his bar. However, Sleanra remains indifferent to the well-being of his offspring, displaying a lack of concern for their lives. Despite these flaws, Sleanra remains a fairly devout Paladin, staying true to his word to Larini, his chosen goddess. His complex and contradictory nature adds layers to his character, showcasing the ongoing struggle between his Drow roots and the principles he has adopted on the surface. |
