Olive is reading ghost stories to Popeye and Bluto. When Bluto discovers that Popeye is easily startled, Bluto leaves the scene and "haunts" a local deserted hotel that Popeye and Olive visit. But the duo catch on and, with the help of some invisible paint (!), turn the tables on Bluto.
A cute enough haunted-house cartoon, with some neat invisible "effects," but it can't hold a candle to the eerie atmosphere of the earlier Shiver Me Timbers!.
