Child protection program appoints local distributor

Honolulu, Hawaii 2/10/1997

Kids InstantRESPONSE Systems, Inc. , a Jacksonville, Florida based company specializing in the development of high-tech programs for the prevention, search and recovery of missing children, announced the appointment of Trish Fayne of Providence, RI, as an independent distributor for the K*I*D*S* Shield Child Protection System.

In announcing the appointment, Thom Reece, Vice President of Marketing, cited the tragic growth in the numbers of missing children in America as one of the reasons for making this program available to local residents.

Last year over 1.8 million children were missing in America. It's estimated that one child is discovered missing every 40 seconds in the United States. John Walsh, host of the television program America's Most Wanted , in his testimony before congress on this issue, placed the total number of abducted children at more than 1.5 million, adding that "we don't have a clue what happens to over 50,000 of them," and that " this country is littered with mutilated, decapitated, raped and strangled children."

Utilizing the very latest in computer database technology, K*I*D*S* will fax a missing child poster to hundreds of local area agencies, businesses, and individuals within one hour of a verified missing child report. In addition, the child's information and full color photograph will be placed on the companies World Wide Web internet site and be immediately available to law enforcement agencies, officials, media, and other concerned groups and individuals.

Subscribers to the service pay only $39.95 per year and receive a free packet of preventative education and child identification materials.
