1999 Geography Bee

Pageland Middle recently held its annual Geography Bee. The competition started with 30 contestants fromgrades 5-8. These students went through seven rounds of questions testing their knowledge of geography. Thetop ten were Quan Chambers, Stephen Sherbo, Kayly Smith, Jonathan Rollings, Darron Kirkley, TinaRandall, Trent Usher, Brittany Huntley, Ryan Edgeworth, and Jeff Brown. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placewinners were chosen after a double elimination round. The winners were 1st Kayly Smith, 2nd BrittanyHuntley, and 3rd Stephen Sherbo. This is the second year Kayly Smith has been the school winner.
