The class of 1999 had a blast "Dancing Under the Stars." The 8th grade Spring Dance was once only going to be the simple dance in the cafeteria, but the students wanted to make it the best Spring Dance ever. This dance will be the last dance to be held in the current cafeteria due to its destrucion this summer. On Friday May 21, 15 students went to work on the dance. The students decorated the cafeteria from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on Friday. The windows, walls, and hallways had to be covered to make the students happy. With little help from the teachers during the school day the students transformed the cafeteria into the dance floor. After the decorations were up, it was time for the dance begin. The dance was held from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This was one of the best Spring Dances ever in the history of Pageland Middle.
