The above is Mirriam-Websters' definition of two of the words that we that practice Wicca call ourselves. One of the other words "Wicca" is found in the context of the word Witch, & a third word "Neo-pagan" doesn't even exsist in the world of Mirriam webster. So now you ask why do so many Wiccans/Pagans/Witches go by those names. Each person has his or her own reasons. What are mine? My reason is because it gives me a connection to the past.It makes me remeber the history of my beliefs. History being a very important aspect of Wicca. To find your path in Wicca you have to discover who you are, where your coming from, & then layout the ground work for where you are going. Unlike other religious beleifs Wicca encourages it's followers to study & respect all religious beliefs. I will admit I have a particularly bad attitude about Christianity, but I respect people whose faith lies in that belief. Just as long as they do not push it on me. BACK to Wicca. In the next couple of days I intend to expand this part of my site. Any questions or comments from others would be greatly appreciated.
