When Lenny recorded "Mama Said", he was going through a painful divorce with former Cosby show member Lisa Bonet. The album definatly shows it. "It Aint Over Till Its Over" and "Stand By My Woman" are expressions of Lenny's painful time, yet are great songs. This album does have holes though. I have trouble listening to "What Goes Around Comes Around", "Butterfly" and "Fields Of Joy(Reprise)". This album is packed with good music. Highlights of this album are "Always On The Run", "Stop Draggin Around" and "What The Fuck Are We Saying". A very good album, yet, I feel that Lenny can do better.
