1. LOVE vs. Selfishness

Giving to others' basic needs without having as my motive personal reward.

1 Corinthians 13

3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing..

2. INITIATIVE vs. Unresponsiveness

Recognizing and doing what needs to be done before I am asked to do it.

Romans 12

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

3. HUMILITY vs. Pride

Recognizing that God and others are actually responsible for the achievements in my life.

James 4

6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: ``God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.''

4. LOYALTY vs. Unfaithfulness

Using adversity to confirm my commitment to those whom God has called me to serve.

John 15

13 Greater love has no-one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

5. VIRTUE vs. Impurity

The moral excellence and purity of Spirit that radiate from my life as I obey God's Word.

2 Peter 1

6. FORGIVENESS vs. Rejection

Healing others by using their offenses as a means of expressing to them Christ's love.

Ephesians 4

32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

The inward strength to withstand stress and overcome obstacles toward accomplish God's best.

Galatians 6

9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

8. SELF-CONTROL vs. Self-Indulgence

Instant obedience to the initial prompting of God's Spirit.

Galatians 5

9. ATTENTIVENESS vs. Unconcern

Showing the worth of a person by giving sincere attention to his words.

Ability to avoid words, actions and attitudes which could result in undesirable consequences.

11. PERSUASIVENESS vs. Contentiousness

Guiding vital truths around another's mental roadblocks.

12. SECURITY vs. Anxiety

Structuring my life around what is eternal and can not be destroyed or taken away.

John 6

13. SINCERITY vs. Hypocrisy

Eagerness to do what is right with transparent motives.

1 Peter 1

14. THRIFTINESS vs. Extravagance

Not letting myself or others spend that which is not necessary.

15. TOLERANCE vs. Prejudice

Acceptance of others as unique expressions of specific of specific character qualities in varying degrees of maturity.

Applying the resources I have in creative ways when faced with overwhelming odds.

Putting others needs before your own.

Seeing and responding to life situations from God's frame of reference.

Seeing through a surface problem to root causes.

1 Samuel 16

Visualizing what God intends to do in a given situation and acting in harmony with it.

Confidence that what I have to say or do will result in lasting benefit.

Ability to anticipate right responses to that which is taking place around me.

39. REVERENCE vs. Disrespect

Awareness of how God is working through the people and events in my life to produce the character of Christ in me.

Proverbs 23

17. Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.

18 There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

40. DILIGENCE vs. Slothfulness

Visualizing each task as a special assignment from the Lord and using all my energies to accomplish it.

Colossians 3

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,

41. THOROUGHNESS vs. Incompleteness

Knowing what factors will diminish the effectiveness of my work or words if neglected.

Proverbs 18

42. DEPENDABILITY vs. Inconsistency

Fulfilling what I consented to do even if it means unexpected sacrifice.

Psalms 15

Accepting a difficult situation from God without giving Him a deadline to remove it.

Romans 5

Knowing how important right timing is in accomplishing right actions.

Doing all I can to heal the hurts of others.

Approaching a need, a task, an idea from a new perspective.

Romans 12

2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

47. GENEROSITY vs. Stinginess

Realizing that all I have belongs to God and using it for His purposes.

48. GENTLENESS vs. Harshness

Treating others as if they were going through similar struggles of self acceptance.

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

49. GRATEFULNESS vs. Unthankfulness

Focusing on what God has given me rather than on what I think He should have given me.

7. For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

50. HOSPITALITY vs. Loneliness

Cheerfully sharing food, shelter, and spiritual refreshment with those God brings into my life.

Hebrews 13

2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

51. JOYFULNESS vs. Self-Pity

The exultation of my inward being that results from genuine harmony with God and with others.

Proverbs 15

13. A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.

52. RESOURCEFULNESS vs. Wastefulness

Wise use of that which others would normally over look or discard.

Luke 16

10 ``Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
