SG: How long have you been writing?
NF:I've been writing seriously ever since I was a wee lad of ten or so. It took me a year to hone my craft as a writer, but since the time I was eleven and I wrote the prize winning St. Patrick's Day and Halloween stories I've loved to write and done it as often as I can.
SG: Is your school as snotty as mine?
NF: My school is fairly uppity and snotty, and I am known as Joe Punk at my school. I'm somewhat a novelty against the fuckers I hate and unilaterally despised by art-fags and metalheads. Most of the jockish people hate me and I get along with the "preps" pretty well. I disagree with them frequently but I'm a big boy and I can put that aside. I'm actually quite friendly with the more intelligent, intellectual preps.
SG: What is your favorite color?
NF:Black. Ever since I can remember, black.
SG: How's the band?
NF: I'm not in one. The closest thing I have to a band is Shotgun Flu, my friend Josh's band who I occasionally do backup vocals for. I am listed on some SGF releases as "Second Vocalist and Interpretational Dancer." I haven't been in a band since the Speds, my early 80s hardcore imploded early this year.
SG: Any material coming out? SG: Are these questions annoying you? SG: Do you want me to stop? SG: Do you feel pressured to answer these questions and send me the answers? SG: What do you think of South Carolina?
NF: Shotgun Flu has three demos; "Epidemic" released late 1994, "Live at Lupo's" released in late 1995, and a split demo with Extract, recently released with Pocket Full of Chump Change Fanzine #2. They have a 9" flexi coming out as their last release sometime this summer. Keep reading Teenage Suicide for more info.
NF: Not really. If they were I wouldn't have bothered to answer them.
NF: Stop what?
NF: Not at all.
NF: Not much. I've never been there. All I know is that you are represented by Jesse Helms in the Senate (ed. note: actually that's N.C.) and you are a very conservative state.
