High School

High school really, really sucks. Every year, I tell myself, Amber, don't be so loud and annoying. Just keep to yourself. But it doesn't work that way. I always end up being my normal, annoying self. I can't help it that I annoy the preps at my school. They think that by conforming to their peers' ways, they are cool. I think not. I've been in high school too many years to discover this is not true. If you really look around, the most popular people are the ones who treat every single person with respect, even though they may be considered weird, or not "normal."

High school is just a bunch of shit all mixed together- stupid authorities, stupid peers, stupid shit to learn.

Irrelevant, yet relevant boring story: I went to the nurse's office on friday cause my stomach was hurting. I called my mom, and afterwards, the nurse said to me, "You're going to have to take that off", obviously referring to the chain around my neck. "Why?" I asked her. "Because it is considered to be a weapon." Hmm, I thought, a piece of jewelry considered a weapon? Odd. Anyways, the nurse told me vice principal and she got an envelope to put the chain in so could get it at the end of the day. So I took it off like a good little girl. So then the vice principal proceeds to tell me that I must take the tiny-studded collar off, too. I ask her why and she says that it is also considered to be a weapon. So I said, "I don't think I should have to take my collar off." And she looked at me real weirdly and asked me if I wanted to talk to Mr. Stanford, the other vice principal about this. So I said, yeah, yeah I would. And so when I went to see Mr. Stanford, he told me that I would have to go ask the principal sometime. So I go home on Friday. Monday I wore my collar to school and my 3rd period teacher asked me if I had talked to Mr. Bayne about it (excuse me, why should she care in the first place?) and I said I hadn't gotten around to it yet. So she went and talked to him about it, I guess, and she came back and started teaching again. So the principal, Mr Bayne, that is, came in and said he wanted to speak to me. So I went into the hall and he said, "You're going to have to take the collar off. It's considered a weapon." I'm pissed, so I said, "Hey if this is considered a weapon, I think a pen or pencil should be too, because you can stab someone with one." And he goes to say that he's not going to argue with me and to just take off the collar. I want to go to college, so I took the fucking thing off and haven't worn it since.
