THE ONE The pain of my mind The hurt of my soul The moon is full The life of my day The wolf cries out Is bitter and cold The actions of many Fills One with much doubt Love is not blind For through the mind's eye The scream of a Child It sees through the truth And many a tear To that one little lie Abolishes hope And strengthens the fear My thoughts are numb With the death of the night The voice of that One The moon melts away Will heed it's call As the morning takes flight That One has a gift To cure and heal all Dreams of reality Floating, feeling free I yearn for that One Falls into nightmares As my time grows near No end can I see I pray for a chance To dry my last tear A shift in the breeze Threatens my flame So troubled a mind It flickers and jumps With a pain all too real And dances in shame All I feel is the hate And I hate how I feel The Heavens descend With a pitiful sigh My flame flickers out No joy does it bring In the darkness I see To hear Angels cry Though my last tear is shed That the One was in me.
