An Odd Feeling
I was 25 when this happened. We were still in university and had rented a small apartment. My friend Joni had found it and it was just what we needed. Shortly after we moved in though things didn't remain so fine.
We had most of our own furniture in there but there was this antique dresser that the last person living there had left behind. It was a nice piece of furniture and we had decided to keep it.
As the weeks went by, everytime I would enter into the entrance where the dresser was placed I would get this peculiar feeling come over me. Then one night I had gotten up to go to the bathroom when I thought I saw a figure lying on top of this dresser. The feeling was really getting to me and even more so when my roomate told me she felt the same way and had seen the same thing.
The next day I went to see the owner of the building and asked if anything happened in the apartment we had rented. He was a little hesitant at first but finally came out with the story.
"A young girl about our age had committed suicide. She was found lying on top of the dresser. When her family came to get her belongings they left this dresser as they did not want to be reminded of what happened. Now the decision was do we keep it or get rid of it?
We decided to keep it. The feeling came again one night and my friend being familiar with ghosts started talking to it. She said that she had to leave here now and follow the light. She did not belong here anymore and had to go. Well believe it or not, from that day forth, no further disturbances occured.
Today I have my own place and yes... I still have the dresser.
