1. Appearance: Black trunks, black boots, shaved head, goatee, etc... Who came up with this look first?
2. Moves: How many moves does Goldberg have? Let's see... (1) Spear (which is really just a football tackle) (2) Jackhammer (3) Oh, wait. There is no 3. Well, there might be one he might use just in case his football moves, uh, I mean "skilled wrestling" moves (all 2 of them) fail him. Austin on the other hand has a lot more experience and is an expert at several moves. A few examples: DDT, Verticle Body Press, Body Slam, Clothesline, Gut Wrench, etc.
3. Merchandise: All I ever see of Goldberg's merchandise is either that tattoo, the quote "Who's Next?!", a picture of himself, or a combination of the 3. Austin is a merchandise genious. He comes up with most of his stuff. The skulls, the quotes, alcohol related stuff, the rattlesnakes, of course pictures of himself, and lots more! I just saw an add for Stone Cold Beany Bears which I would kill to get! If only I had enough money to buy all the Austin stuff out there!
4. Catch Phrases: Goldberg has only one catch phrase that I know of. Can you guess what that is? Steve Austin has so many that I have to use my toes to count them all! "Oh Hell Yeah!!" and "And that's the bottom line 'cause Stone Cold said so!" are only a few. Oh, and let's not forget the 1-800-COLLECT commercial that Austin and D'Lo Brown did! That was the best!
5. Entrance: Oh, boy! Smoke, fireworks, and all the security gaurds! Isn't that the coolest! Maybe the first time a 2 year old saw Goldberg's entrance it would be cool. To anyone else, it's lame. Come on, how can that compete with the sound of shattering glass and Austin running down the ramp stalking his next victim?
6. Finishing Moves: Which is better? The Stone Cold Stunner or Goldberg's Spear (uh, I mean football tackle)? Come on, if I wanted to see a tackle I'd watch Monday night Football. At least Goldberg keeps football fans happy during the off season with at least one tackle a week.
7. Involvement: I hardly see Goldberg come out of hes locker room unless he has a match. I only once saw him come out once. That was when he lost his belt and another wrestler came out to challenge the new champion. Goldberg came out then to claim a rematch. Austin, on the other hand appears all the time. When he does, it's not just to claim a title shot. He usually is determined to pi$$ Vince McMahon off or attack someone (giving at least one person the stunner).
8. Importance of the Wrestler: Ok. Goldberg is kind of important to Bischoff. Come on, when Hogan went NWO, Bischoff needed someone to protect his business. Hardly. It was Bischoff's idea to have Hogan go bad. Austin was recently named the new CEO of the WWF by Vince's wife Linda. Austin was also given Linda and Stephanie McMahon's shares of the WWF giving Austin 50% of the total shares. Vince and Shane McMahon each only own 25% of the shares. Who has more importance now: Austin or Goldberg?
