[ A b o u t M e ]
I've been a fan since I first saw them on MTV when they did an interview with the band in the summer of '95. I ran out and got Frogstomp just from only hearing clips of the songs from that interview. Then I just started collecting magazine articles and newspaper articles from them. Then I joined their fan club and was dying to know when they'd ever tour near me.
So my first show was in February of 97 when I saw them in DC. This is when i got to meet Ben for a very brief amount of time.
Then later that year I saw them at the Richmond show. This was the time when Daniel threw out his pick after playing the first 2 or 3 songs of the set, and it landed on my friend's arm. My friend was even offered $50 for the pick but she said no. (btw she had barely heard of the band before, but once she saw them, she musta just fallen in love :P) Later, after begging and begging, she gave me the pick b/c she knew how much I loved em.
Then just last year in 99 i got to see them for a third time in Toronto at Edgefest during the summer(the really really REALLY rainy one). Well, that show wasn't too much fun b/c it was with a crowd of around 40,000 so I could barely breathe, let alone take any of the music in...
So here I am today, sad that they're taking a break for a long while, and I just wanted to make this page to talk about their history and also my history following the band.
