SILVERCHAIR JOINS WITH ATLANTIC
As previously reported, silverchair has left sony, and joined with eleven-a new record label-in australia. The news right now though is that they recently signed with atlantic records, which will deal with all their american stuff.. yay!

silverchair should be releasing a new album next year. until then, you can listen to some new stuff that has been recently released at the following site.. click me
daniel johns and paul mac got together over the summer (or winter if ur in oz i suppose) and came up with 5 songs that they never intended to release-it was just for fun. paul mac is known for his techno stuff, so the collaboration is of a rock/techno mix. songs can be d/led over the net with a small charge fee or you can order the cd over the net as well, but act fast b/c only a limited number of cds remain.
Rock in Rio
Ok now, where have you been? If you're reading this and not skimming over it, then my guess is that you haven't heard that silverchair are playing Rock in Rio taking place in Brazil early next year. This is the first time they've played in South America in over four years, so even though they aren't going on a world-wide tour or anything, I think it's pretty cool that they're taking time out of their break to go play a show there. Although it might also have something to do with how this show is known as the biggest rock concert in the world with over 200 acts playing for 7 days. Going from a whole year of playing 0 shows to a gig with over 200,000 people seems a little overwhelming... it'll be a nice crowd to welcome the boys back I'm sure :)
LAS
silverchair's fan club, the Llama Appreciation Society, recently sent out their latest newsletter. In it you can find the latest info on what the boys have been up to, some recent pictures of them, and a little chair related present as usual. my reaction? i hope dan's hair is in one of those inbetween growing stages because as of right now.. er, nevermind. its all about the music right? :)
There's a new message board at the chairpage, the bands official site. Use that to find out whatever you need to know about the chair or just to meet people just like your sc-loving self :)
