Xfox1121 asks: Eddie, what did you do when you found out you got the role of Cole on Sunset Beach? Eddie: Well, the first thing I did was call my parents. First I asked them for advice on accepting the role or not. Because naturally, I'm a circus performer, not an actor. :-) But they told me to stick with acting.
Catera_1 asks: Was it hard to pick up the role of Cole St. John after the originating actor left? You are doing an excellent job! Eddie: No, it wasn't very diffficult because of 2 reasons. First being the show was a brand-new show and had not yet developed a following, and second the character was even newer on the show, so people weren't accustom to seeing him.
Catera_1 asks: Congratulations on you Soap Opera Digest nomination, what will do to celebrate when you win? Eddie: Well, I havent' won yet. But I'm hoping that with the support of the fans of the show, I can win.
Clift_Note asks: How would you compare your work on Young and the Restless to Sunset Beach? Eddie: I'm having a lot more fun on "Sunset Beach."
Paul_heusen asks: Eddie, how do you see your role as Cole progressing over the rest of the year on Sunset Beach? Eddie: Well, right now I don't think the character will slow down in the upcoming year. I think he will find some way of getting into trouble.
Eddie: I think his love for Caitlin will stay remain strong, and hopefully they might get married. But, we'll have to wait and see. :-)
Xfox1121 asks: Eddie, any big things coming up at Sunset Beach we fans should know about? Eddie: Actually there's a lot of things coming up on "Sunset Beach." The story lines for December are amazing. So keep watching. ...... especially around New Years!
DJThrill asks: Eddie, did you go to the recent "Daydream Tour" in Arizona? If so, what did you do there? And why Tucson? Eddie: Yes, I was there. NBC did a big promotional campaign there. It was great seeing all the fans. Too bad I couldn't chat with you.
Paul_heusen asks: Do you have any creative input to the characterization of Cole or to Sunset Beach scripts? Eddie: Creative input? :-) Well, I'm not really sure what you mean by creative input. I don't have much say on what the character does. The writers usually decide all that. But, of course I do put my own special touch to Cole.
DJThrill asks: Eddie, Sunset Beach has been on air for almost 1 year now. Looking back, how have has the role of "Cole" changed over the year? Eddie: Well, progressively the role has gotten better and stronger.
Daisie_Anne asks: Is Cole the best role you have liked to play or is their another one you prefer more? Eddie: No, I couldn't imagine a better role than Cole. He's like playing the daytime version of James Bond.
Clift_Note asks: How do you manage to balance Baywatch Nights with your work on Sunset Beach? Isn't it tough being in two different series... Eddie: In the beginning, I was doing both "Baywatch Nights" and "Sunset Beach" and at the time, the hours were VERY long. But, "Baywatch Nights" didn't get picked up for another season, so I'm now just doing "Sunset Beach."
Xfox1121 asks: Eddie, if you could change anything about your role, what would it be? Eddie: I hope I didn't impregnate Olivia. But, other than that, nothing.
A_Butter asks: Congratulations again on being nominated by Soap Opera Digest Nominee for a Younger Lead Actor. What do you think of awards shows in general? Eddie: What I think of the Soap Opera Digest Awards are a true response from the fans unlike other awards shows where an actual panel votes on your performances.
Eddie: Both are an honor, because you want to please both your fans and your critics, so in order for me to win the Soap Digest Awards, it's up to the fans to buy the magazing and vote. And that really means a lot.
Amanda_SB asks: Eddie.. we have a group of about 30-40 females coming from all over the country to the SOD Awards, any chance of meeting you and the cast?? Eddie: Thank you, and hopefully we can catch each other.
Straw_baby2000 asks: Eddie I heard that you will be doing a movie, does that mean you will be leaving Sunset Beach? Eddie: No. I've finished a small role in a feature film called "The Kiss." But, I will not be leaving "Sunset Beach."
Clift_Note asks: What was your experience like working on Beverly Hills 90210? Would you go back for another role if they asked you to? Eddie: That was a wonderful experience. I was able to become friends with Tori through that, and if they wanted me to come back it wouldnt' be a difficult thing to do because Spelling produces both shows. But I don't see myself going to 90210 anytime soon.
A_Butter asks: What is "The Kiss" about? When does it come out, etc.? Eddie: "The Kiss" is a romantic comedy starring Danny Devito and Holly Hunter, and I play Holly Hunter's erotic mauseuse, and the movie should be coming out at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
Paul_heusen asks: What do you think of living in Los Angeles? Is it necessary for someone who wants to be in showbiz to live in LA? I hope not... Eddie: I think if someone wants to get in TV or film, that living in LA is probably a must. But, there's a lot cast out of New York, but that's mostly theater and some feature films. But the bulk of the work is definitely in L.A.
DJThrill asks: Eddie, which beautiful actress on the show has been the most fun to work with? Eddie: There all fun to work with, and marvelous actresses. But, I think I have a lot of fun wiht Kathleen Noone.
Paul_heusen asks: I've read that you enjoy playing sports, including football. Do you have a favorite for next year's Super Bowl? Eddie: Favorite? I think the Broncos might win, but I'm hoping for either the Dolphins or the Panthers. Those are my teams.
Fritz_55 asks: Eddie, in your TV Guide BBS a few months ago you said that Cole would follow the hair trends. So, are you planning on getting your hair cut short? Eddie: My hair cut is short! Any shorter it would be bald.
NotRoebuck asks: The Make a Wish Foundation is one of your interests. What is the most unsual wish that you have seen? Eddie: I don't think there are any unusal wishes, they are all legitimate wishes.
Daisie_Anne asks: Who is your greatest influence? CandC4ever asks: We love you!!! I love SB. I wanted to know...when fans write you letters, do you write back?? Eddie: Yes, we do and the letters do mean a lot . Please keep them coming, they mean a lot to us actors.
Queen-of-harts asks: are u that hot in real life or is that just with all your make-up and stuff? Eddie: What are you trying to say? Of course it's the make-up!
Nmbr1EddieCFan asks: Hi. Do u know if u will doing any appearances in New Jersey soon? I met u at the Woodbridge mall and asked u about making the web page I have 4 u official..are u interested? Eddie: Yes, I remember bmeeting you and I'm still considering the web page. But I've been very busy and haven't had time to look into it.
I_Love_Cole_ofSB asks: Where are the SOD awards being held, and when? Eddie: The ballot is on the newsstand now. The sale date says Nov. 11, but be sure to buy it soon because the new issue will be out within the next day, and you won't be able to vote any longer. The awards are on NBC on Friday, Feb. 27th at the Universal Amphitheatre. Look for details in Soap Opera Digest. Hope to see you all there.
Cutiger_89 asks: Okay -nough of the chit chat, Eddie - Let's get to the good stuff! Are there any "behind the scenes" romances going on with the cast of Sunset Beach you could fill us in on? Eddie: There's a couple behind-the-scenes romances. But none that I can personally fill you in on.
Shoyarite97 asks: eddie...what are your hobbies when u r not acting? Eddie: I'm an outdoors type of person, so I spend most of my time doing things are activity-oriented such as sports - golf, tennis, football, basketball and volleyball. I can't wait because ski season is coming.
Xfox1121 asks: Eddie, Will Ben ever find out that you tried to steal the jewels from the Deep? Eddie: I dont' know, but I do think there's a possibility that my character will team up with Ben in the future regarding a business venture.
Oraclefl asks: Greetings from Canada, Eddie. I just want to say that Canadians love SB too!! Eddie: Canada is one of my favorite placed to visit.
Eddie: When I was on "Young & the Restless," I use to visit Toronto and Vancouver and had a great time. Hopefully I'll be back soon.

Icylove asks: how was it to audition in front of Aaron Spelling? Eddie: When I first auditioned for Aaron a while back, it was pretty nerve-wracking, because he's the man. But, actually he's a veyr nice, easy going man who's very actor-friendly, and makes you feel comfortable.
Daisie_Anne asks: When you go out in public, do you find people recognize you or not? Eddie: They do, but in LA peoople see many celebrities. I find when I leave CA, more people are more willing to come up to you.
Rave_kid asks: hey eddie what would you say was your first big break that got you into acting? Eddie: My first big break was definitely "The Young & the Restless."
Amanda_SB asks: If Cole and Caitlin get married... do you fear a slowing down of the exciting life of Cole Deschanel, jewel thief, world traveller? Eddie: Definitely not. I believe Cole will always have something to do with his past.
Eddie: It would only make the family dynamics more interesting. And who knows if tht marriage would last anyway.
