A blinded lighthouse

A blinded lighthouse stands
upon a dark and battered shore
no light calls to life from there 
the bottle-bound ships upon the sea
through long night the monolith stands
squatting in silent, uncaring vigil
flotsam clutters the clean waves
below the hooded eye
A darkend lighthouse stands alone
upon deadly cliffs of stone
