Deny the sun

deny the sun in it's flight
see the dawn without the light
feel the rain without the fall
rejoice at the part instead of the all
make a twig of a tree and leaf of a wood
pond of an ocean and bad from the good
wishing upon a distant star
seeing only a light from afar
one day to wake and then to see
the world as a whole as it is meant to be
