Monday
Up early, hailed an infamous black London cab (we were tired of walking by now) to Victoria Station, exchanged most ~ but not all ~ of the money we had left, caught the Gatwick Express to the airport, did some last minute duty-free shopping at the airport, then boarded British Airways for the flight home.
My final tea experience was Afternoon Tea aboard the plane. About an hour-and-a-half before we landed in Charlotte, tea was served, consisting of a small individual tray of three tea sandwiches, a piece of cake (Dundee cake?), and ... hmmm ... what's missing ... tea! Kind of fun and a perfect way to end the flight.
Now back on American soil, we rode the 4 hours home, reliving the sights and sounds we experienced in a most beautiful city ~ my favorite place in the world ~ London.
