The Newsletter

By Warren P. DeMars

In this month’s newsletter, I’ve temporarily switched to a simpler format so I can publish it on the web.  In addition, Michael and I have enjoyed the Easter weekend and haven’t pursued additional stories for this month’s newsletter.  During this next month, I hope to complete the rework the our chapter’s web site, https://www.angelfire.com/sc/eaa249.  Please help me by bring pictures of your plane or project to the next meeting or mailing them to me at 604 Regency Circle, Anderson, SC 29625.

Young Eagles

By Warren P. DeMars

As many of you know, there is a Young Eagles program this Saturday at 9:00 am at Greenville Downtown Airport, right where the Chapter meets.  As of this writing, the official web site of the Young Eagles, http://www.youngeagles.org, shows 573,295 young boys and girls have flown with the program.  Please come join the program this Saturday and help a youngster fly.

May Meeting

By Warren P. DeMars

You are cordially invited to the home, especially the garage, of Danny and Mary Kight.  They’re graciously hosting our next meeting, this Monday, May 1st.   The following paragraph outlines the directions to Danny and Mary’s:

From Greenville, take exit 21which is highway 178.  Turn south (toward town) for about one mile until the road forks, stay to the right onto highway 28 bypass.  Follow 28 for about 2 miles to the second traffic light.  Turn right onto Whitehall, follow for one mile to the next traffic light.  Turn left on Centerville road and go to the Regency Park entrance on your right, about ¼ mile down the road.  (There is a new brick sign for Regency Park with NO lettering on the right.  There is also a new construction drive opposite the Regency entrance.)  After entering Regency Park, turn right at the stop sign onto Regency Circle and follow through the next stop sign to house number 324 – where the RV in the garage is J  Hope everyone can make it.

Builder’s Box

Due to the Easter weekend and scheduling conflict, I’ve been unable to interview and visit the next builder before the deadline for publishing within the newsletter.  However, I’ll be ahead of schedule this weekend after interviewing the next mystery guest.  So please stay tuned.
