This page is dedicated to my Mom~~
I wrote this poem for her one Mother's Day

Memories Are Forever

Memories are mementos of times gone by,
Thoughts that stay with us as years fly by.
Thoughts that can cheer us and brighten our way,
Memories grow sweeter with each passing day.

A big cotton Christmas tree, a home with good roots,
The cameo ring that you hid in Dad's boots.
Our new clothes for Easter, we wore with such pride,
The comfort you gave us those times when we cried.

The smells from the kitchen on Thanksgiving Day,
As we waited for Santa in Macy's Parade.
Our trips to the country and Santa Claus Land,
The times that you kept me from quitting the band.

The "grown up" clothes that you got out one morning,
The little surprises you pulled without warning.
The guidance you gave us with love and with care,
And when we had troubles we knew you'd be there.

These are a few of the memories I cherish,
As long as I'm living I know they won't perish.
And so on this "Mother's Day" I want to say~~
Thanks for the Memories that won't fade away.
