Welcome to my page of 8x10 frames with an EASY tutorial on how to make your own.
To make these frames any color or background you want, all you have to do is change one piece of code. It's that easy!!! Just copy and paste the code and take it to an HTML testbed and print the frames from there. There won't be any banners because you're printing from a test bed rather than a web page.
The nice thing about these codes is that
you can print one frame of a color,
change the color number in the code, and
print the next frame a different color.A
knowledge of tables will help you
understand the codes, but isn't
necessary. This code, when printed out
on my Canon printer, fits an 8x10 frame
perfectly. I'm not sure about the HP
printer, but it should be about the
same.
The first two codes are the
really easy ones. Then, for those braver
souls, I give you some ideas of other
things you can do with the same basic
code!
Now on to the examples and codes.
And here is the code! Just put in any
color number where it says "table
bgcolor="#??????". Or you can just type
in the color itself--bgcolor="your
color".That's all! Now you have a frame
to print the color of your choice.
CODE 1
Next we have frames with backgrounds--
they're just as easy. Just put the url
of whatever image you want where it
says
table
background="http://????"
It's best to use backgrounds with small
images as the frames are narrow and
larger images distort.Here are some
examples and then the code.
This last frame has an image on it. The
code has to be changed in three
places-
1- table bgcolor="#??????" or table bgcolor="name of color"
2- img src="http://????"
This is the url of
your image
It needs to be changed in
2 place--top and bottom.
Lines work best for this and shouldn't be any taller than 70 pixels--around 40 or 50 pixels looks best. That's it!! Just go to view and Print out your frame.
I've also put the codes for my 3x5
frames on a page. Just cut and copy which ever you'de like.
CODES--3x5
When you get a little
braver You can do other things with
these same basic code.
You can make
the frame itself wider-- just make the
middle part smaller. If you wanted to
make all the sides 80 instead of
seventy, you would just change those
numbers and then subtract 20 from the
height and the width of the middle. If
you don't, your frame will be too
big.
Instead of using a line for an image you
can use a small gif. Leave the code as
it is, and it will end up in the center.
To have it in the left hand corner, just
erase the center tag. To have it in the
right hand corner, add- align=right to
the tag, right after the url of the
image, but still inside the tag.
You can add several images as long as
their combined width is not wider than
the frame.
If you want to put a space between
images, or several spaces, you can use--
---it will make one space. Just
repeat it for as many spaces as you
want.
Once you play around with this, you'll
find there are lots of things you can
do. I use Media 3D Text Builder to
make my annotations. They make them into
a Gif
file in any font, size and color you
want. Then you can transload them to
your own site; or Media Bilder will keep
them saved for several hours. Just copy
the url and use it at the test bed
you're using.
The possibilities are endless and I
don't have time or space to go into all
of them. Play around with this--use your
favorite backgrounds, gifs, and image
tolls and
BE CREATIVE and HAVE
FUN!!!
If you need a test bed here is the one I
use. Just click on HTML TestBeds at the
top of the page.
